Yoav Lasman appointed VP R&D at Prompt Security
Lasman served as VP of Engineering at BigID in his most recent role and prior to that worked for over 15 years at Check Point.
Yoav Lasman has been appointed VP R&D at generative AI security startup Prompt Security. Lasman, who served as a systems engineer at 8200, has many years of experience in managing and leading development teams. In his most recent role, he served as VP of Engineering at BigID and managed over 50 employees in the areas of development and product. Prior to that, he worked for over 15 years at Check Point in a variety of roles, including managing R&D teams in the areas of threat prevention and cloud services. Lasman holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and economics.
Prompt Security helps enterprises to safely adopt GenAI by protecting applications, employees and customers from a wide range of AI-specific risks. It inspects prompts and model responses to prevent data leaks, blocks harmful content, and secures against GenAI-specific risks like shadow AI, prompt injections, and jailbreaks.
Prompt Security was founded in 2023 by Itamar Golan, CEO, and Lior Drihem, CTO, both graduates of 8200, who worked over the years in management positions at Check Point and Orca Security. The company has raised a total of $23 million and currently serves dozens of organizations worldwide, including Fortune 500 companies. Some of its customers include shipping giant Royal Caribbean, Riskifield, Elementor, 10x Banking, St. Joseph's Healthcare, and Upstream Security. Prompt Security has 30 employees in Israel and the U.S. and is in the process of expanding and hiring new employees.
