Rafa Valdivia, Managing Partner at LAB Ventures, spoke to CTech at Calcalist’s inaugural Tech & Invest conference in Miami.

“The Israeli market has lots of companies focusing on construction and real estate - that's unusual,” said Rafa Valdivia, Managing Partner at LAB Ventures. “Miami also has lots of companies in construction and real estate technology, so that's why we have lots of connections in Israel and we see really interesting technology coming from there.”
LAB Ventures is a Miami-based company that started as a venture studio building startups from scratch. Today, it has launched a fund focusing on proptech and is an early-stage investor in technology for real estate and construction. It has invested in 32 companies from Israel and across the world.
“There’s really meaningful and cool technology from Israel going to the whole globe, especially the US,” he continued. “So that's why the connection. We have a lot of community here, Israelis and Jewish people living in Miami. And it's a great place to start.”
