“Now is a great time for Israeli entrepreneurs to come to Miami”, says Titan Capital Partners
Founder and Managing Partner Ben Topor spoke to CTech about Miami’s ‘Golden Age’ for Israeli entrepreneurs.
“The atmosphere, the openness, the warmth that Israelis received today in Miami is really remarkable,” said Ben Topor, Founder and Managing Partner at Titan Capital Partners. “I think there's some sort of a tipping point. Now is a great time for Israeli entrepreneurs to come to Miami.”
Topor was speaking to CTech at Calcalist and Bank Leumi’s inaugural Tech & Invest Miami conference, which set out to establish meaningful ties between Israel and the Sunshine State. Titan Capital Partners is a hybrid primary and secondary growth investment fund that invests mainly in software and Internet companies in their later stages. Prominent companies in its portfolio include property management software company Guesty and eToro, one of the largest digital trading companies in Europe.
“Israel is where the technology happens and where the secret sauce is being built, but eventually those software Internet companies need to sell to a target market and the target market is Miami,” Topor continued. “Miami is in some sort of a Golden Age: everybody's moving to Miami, even the Wall Street giants and big hedge funds are migrated to this city. So I think there's a snowball effect and the city will be even more attractive as a target market. The combination that there's openness to Israelis and the fact it's starting to be a very significant business center makes it a very good bet for Israeli tech entrepreneurs.”
